ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for providing a safe, secure environment for the care and welfare of the Medical Center staff, patients, visitors and properties through providing leadership and support for the day-to-day operations of Security Services.

QualificationsWe Require
Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent, required. Also required are: knowledge of crime/loss prevention, investigative techniques, and applicable local, state and federal laws; ability to interact positively with staff, providers, patients, and visitors; sound judgment in evaluating and reacting to situations under emergency and high-stress conditions; strong written and verbal communication skills; strong skills in the use of computers (Microsoft Word and Excel, E-mail), scanner, digital camera, and the use of special security programs including employee ID photo database, security report database, and Washington State Law.Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field is preferred. Three years of increasingly responsible security experience in a healthcare setting is also preferred. IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety) Certification (Basic, Advanced, or Supervisor), or ability to obtain certification within 1 year of hire.
